This just came on Kijiji 30 minutes ago. I called the seller, he doesn't believe the car is a true SD396, but it is supposed to be an original 300horse 350 4 speed car. The car is located in Yarmouth NS. ( An SD 396 clone for my 396th post )
I look at hundreds of cars, and most don't "get to me" This does!! That is a nice car! love it, even with the non stock Pontiac wheels... no a/c If i had 20g it would be mine
I was thinking about it today, I never saw a car with "air conditioning" in the Maritimes 1964-72 I wonder how many cars, have air conditioning, that were factory ordered Maritime cars or rest of Canada... I should ask Peter (Sackville) if he has ever seen any ...

I think its great, that he can buy and sell. We never saw the car before he got it lol I just e-mailed Peter to see, if he would go, get it from him, and keep it, there(Sackville) until may
I wish I had a garage like the seller; the Beaumont isn't bad either.
Ya, I wonder what else lurks in that garage? Nice signs and a pick up anyway.

Probably nicest model of the Beautmonts was the 69 for me. Impressive car and definitely a great buy for someone, maybe I should check my tickets from last night lol. Hope someone on this site can grab it.
I don't know about rust, but he said that he thinks all the sheetmetal is original ( except for the hood, of course) He said the guy that cloned it into an SD396 had the car for about 20 years, and the guy that bought it from him had for 10 years, I think, and only put about 1000-1500 miles on it. I asked him that if I was interested, would he give me the VIN, to check it out with GM V.V.S. and he said no problem.
I'm not sure, (but then how could you be until you personally look) when I was talking to him I don't recall their being any major body issues, but I think he said the paint was 20 years old or so.
Thanks!! If my wife was not still in hospital, I would have gone to Sackville for my Uncles funeral (Thursday) and probably run down to see it .. I guess I will get Peter & Ian to go see it...
Carl I am one hour away from this car.If you do come to NS and need any help getting to see this car PM me and we will go check it out. I can pick you up in Sackville or whatever works for you.
