I came across this video the other day.  I thought it should get honorable mention in the Canadian Poncho hall of fame. 

You don't see many of the younger generation taking an interest in vintage Canadian iron.  These days.,, the so called ,."cool cars",.. are Japanese cars with tune pipes and computer chip "high performance" upgrades.

Yet there was a time when you looked at a classic car with a bit of rust and a six cylinder , and thought , "I can fix that,.. and drop in an 8 cylinder next year".  A time when you could rip apart an engine with 5 sockets and 4 wrenches.  A time when you'd save up to have dual exhaust installed.  How excited you were after bolting on that four-barrel carburetor and heading out for a test run on a Saturday night!!? How many nights did you spend under the hood of that car,.. wrenching or polishing? Taking pride in the car that you built!

Yes,.. those were the days my friend,. Its unfortunate that not many of the younger generation take an interest in vintage vehicles and experience the pride of having restored a piece of car history.

So have a look how this young gentleman restored this 55 Laurentian. Its amazing!  And its not just about the car. You can see the pride and hard work that went into this classic!  He really has an appreciation for a Canadian Pontiac.  Watch his story.   Its sure to bring a smile to everyone who watches it! One sad note,.. according to his link on youtube,..
After restoring his 55 Laurentian,.. he was run of the road by a maniac driver.  Thankfully he was ok.  But it looks like the car took the ditch.  Hopefully he'll be encouraged to bring the 55 back to its former glory.
