WOULD ANY OF YOU GUYS KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND A STEEL2 INCH COWL HOOD FOR MY CAR, I HAVE CHECKED QUIT A FEW PLACES AND CANT FIND ONE..AND WOULD ANYBODY KNOW IF I USE A FIBERGLASS ONE WOULD I HAVE TO CHANGE THE HOOD HINGES.THANKS
Did you try Goodmark for a Chevelle? Fiberglass hood will need different hood hinges, they need to be lighter in strength and the springs will be softer too.
Glasstek makes a fiberglass one. I just put one on my 65 El Camino. It's a 2 inch cowl unit and fits nice right out of the box. Nice finish on the underside too. Mark
You have to make oneget your bodyman to cut a new steel (cheap as you can get) cowl and weld it, on to your stock frame

I contacted Goodmark about 10 years ago and they said there wasn't enough interest cover the cost to built the hood for a 64-65 Chevelle. Keep contacting them so they know there is interest.
