68 Beaumont

Hello all i have been reading your post's for some time now and i thought it was time to say Hello. I have owned two 68's my first was a Deluxe and it was stolen from me in Merrit  (GERRRRRRRRRRR) i still have some fealings about that.
My second 68 i bought out of Kelowna it was a two door post and real clean i drove that one for a month and a lady pulled out in front of me on Kingsway in Burnaby and i T Boned her... the damage to the car was fixed at a body shop down at the bottom of King George hill in Surrey. It took two months and when they gave the car back to me the bumper was rubbing on the fender... not good so i took it back to them to get it fixed and while the front bumper was off they also did a wheel alignment.
Well the mechanic took it for a test drive and drove it into a telephone poll.
I was so freaking mad i could not control my self what a (%@*^ GOOF).
Pushed the frontend in two feet. I should have bought the car from icbc but at the time i just wanted to put it behind me, i still have some fealings on that one to.
I would love to put pics of the cars on but not to sure on how to do it.

Welcome to the site, that is a sad story for sure.disbelief.gif  I have had a 67 firebird stolen and have had a 68 chevelle run into a post by my wife so I know how you feel. Bumed me out for years until I got ahold of my 69 Beaumont.  Do not give up and look for another one.

JJ, you can make them bigger.

Upload all of them, then before you "submit" hit "insert" for each one you downloaded and they come out big on the screen.

Hey JJ yes thats is the one for sale in Newton , it looks to be all there but probably a bit high of an asking price for just a shell. Have you looked at it yet? Not many around to look at though.

I'm suprised C/S is still in business. Looked at a couple of vettes there, front ends were knocked off, put back on rough, goo, gunk, and all kind of krap that dripped before the re-spray. Wanted top $$$ for them too. Kept looking, found a really clean anniversary for about 1/3 the price.

Ya i think the price is a little high but she is firm. I have not looked at it... only pic's she sent me... Have you checked it out ? I am going to go and look at the SD on wensday if it works out i will bring the camera and put some fresh pic's up. Still not sure if i will buy it.
Question if anybody know's ? He say's the trany he has is a m22 is it the right one for the car as it is a 68 beaumont ? Is the M21 a better trany or is the M22 better.
