interesting find-is it $12,000 or $20,000 ? needs lotsa work but a rare car indeed-the engine in the picture appears to be a small block with power steering and not a separate canister, does he have the correct parts ?
There was one in Old Autos two years ago similar condition and rebodied according to a member for around $12,000 if that helps
Yes it is a small block run's well.. He has a 396 all in pieces and not #s matching with the car. I don't think he has all the parts and stuff is everywhere kind of interesting. He is asking 12 but i find it real hard to even pay 10 with all the body work. It need's alot of work very rusty where the rear speakers would be and the body work around both front and back are not up to par in my opinion. Thx for the info with the rebodied i think it will help.
Thx i have talked to the red 69 guy but i don't think it's the car for me... I like the 68's and just my luck both 68 rags changed their mind and won't sell. The hole's for the trany are there but some tin has been pop rivet over

I am confused. So the primer gray car is an original black SD car? and the old drag car at the bottom of this thread is also a black SD car but has been rebodied?
Here are pic's of the trunk... They did new rear quarters but i don't know if this is the proper way to do it? anybody know how to install new quarters ? I would think that you would butt it together then hit it with the torch.... but im not sure.
This is not the way to put 1/4s on now days, especially on this one... You can get the full factory style 1/4 now and is by far the best way to do it.As far as a non #s motor taking away from the value of the car.If this thing gets a total frame off restoration ( which it deserves ) in that color combo I think it would bring more $$$ than say a matching #s green one... Just my 2 cents
Did the 68 SD beaumont's all come with the two bumpers that on the bumper if you know what i mean... (like the white SD convertable in the other posts before)
I thought they looked out of place on the car when I did it '88. I was going to remove them , but the bumper sheen didn't match, a line of dull rustish, and real shicy where they bumperette covered. So I left them on. Front and Rear on my car.
