New Member from Buffalo NY/Fort Erie Ontario

I hope im in the right forum
New guy on the block, spend all May's till September in Canada
in Fort Erie Ontario, family has a summer home there right across the Peace Bridge, and grew up with Startochiefs Starchiefs and Beaumonts, Love Canada like my own
This past summer my cousin from Washington State called me and said
" I dont want grammas car anymore, the wife wants it out"
I just about had a heart attack. Gramma Ann bought it new in 1966
a Candlelight Cream Catalina, Convertable 389 2 barrel YC code  TH400 with Posi, Colum Shift, no options to mention
I thought i would never get another car again, I sold my 68 GTO and bought a ring for my wife about 12 years ago
So im living my new dream with GTO's big brother
I have always been a pontiac freak, and considerd Canada my own, if she will have me
I plan on keeping her driving, hitting a few shows in Canada, in any condition she is in
Thanks for letting me rant
Im standing oun guard for thee at the boarder in Buffalo NY

Welcome to the site and I like the car. Nice to have something that has been in the family since new.

I live just east of Buffalo and two of my buddies have '66 GTOs in Candlelight Cream. One is a convertible that resides in Orchard Park and the other a hardtop that is in Niagara Falls. It's a nice color you don't see too often. Good luck with the car and maybe I'll catch you at a cruise night south of the border sometime.

Welcome to the site. I have an 93 year old aunt that lives in Fort Erie 2 minutes from the race track. Might be there this summer. My sister just recieved her 86 Pontiac Parisienne as a gift although the car has rust issues it only has 104,000 Kilometers.

Welcome 66Cat!

Love the Catalina, perhaps you'll make our late spring, early summer southern ontario round up?...wherever that might be!
