17 year old girl talking on the cell Tboned my sister in her 76 formula. Bright flipping orange. My sister walked away thankfully. Witnesses say the girl was doing at least 35 when she hit her running the stop sign.
If you've got 'no talking on cell phone while driving' laws, and if the witnesses are willing to testify to what they saw, insist on the cops arresting her for that.Insist! If they don't, call the District Attorney.

She was and will lose her driving for 1 year I think she should lose it forever. Yup you had your chance you messed up good thing you didn't kill anybody here's your bus pass enjoy.
So much for Mc Goofy's cell phone ban, should have banned it completely, this hands free B/S still distracts drivers!!! I've still seen many drivers talking on hand held phones, NO WAY can they "inforce" this without a complete ban, ALL OR NOTHING!!! Glad your sisters alright, cars can be replaced, she can't!!!

I agree completely. The world chugged along just fine for thousands of years without cellphones. But on the same note, If anyone voted for the Liberals, they forfit the right to complain. Ya getts what ya pay for.
California law bans all cell use in a car if your under 18 it has to be off and in a purse pouch or glovebox. we have a no texting or talking on a cell without a hands free. We also have a distracted driver law. This kid got hit with all three plus failure to yield right of way failure to stop unsafe driving for weather conditions 35 in a 25 school zone. I think the cop was a car guy.
I saw two OPP cruisers going through Clinton at 150 mph! with a Aerostar van in between .. taking officers family, to be with him before he died..(They made it)
I was at Victoria hospital, looking out window, as they brought him by helicoptor....
Wonderd why, they didn't put family in cruisers, instead of flogging that old Aerostar with kids in it?
