My dream car.....Technically Cadillac did not build these wagons. Since as early as 1951 Cadillac station wagons have been available. The work was usually handled by outside coachbuilders, the same firms that built hearses and ambulances on Cadillacs. The new BLS in 2008 for Europe and CTS now here in North America are factory built Cadillac wagons.

Evil Knevel was one of tehe first celebrities to publically flaunt his Cadillac wagon which would have been in this era of car, Dean Martin also had one among others. Finding models in Texas is pretty common as well as Cadillac El Caminos. With the popularity of the GMC Suburban in the 90's the need for Cadillac conversions became needless and soon the big GMC was dubbed the TEAXS CADILLAC.

In reading the ad for this one, it mentions the car was made for Disney World.

They are pure Cadillac, Commercial Chassis / Fleetwood commissioned to coachbuilders. They have been doing it since the 50's guys.

I have a friend with a '75 Fleetwood ambulance and he is a members of the Professional Car Club. As I said 100% Cadillac.

I don't know how well you know Cadillacs but this one is a Fleetwood body as evidenced by the 3 " strip between the doors. Fleetwoods are basically factory limousines that run commercial chasiss and parts. Take my Fleetwood, it was in for rear brakes yesterday, similar rear drum set up as a 2500 GMC.

There were at least 2 or 3 factory authorized builders for these. Most became professional cars outside of Texas.
