Hello everyone,

I am new here and have a 69 Beaumont with a 454 that I just purchased and has what I  think to be the deluxe wood grain dash with a factory tach and want to make it a tribute to a SD 396. Could someone inform me if the 69SD had any SD emblems in the interior or on the trunk or rear valence? I found a brochure that shows the correct SD396 decal and stripe on the outside of the car but cannot find any interior pictures of a 69 SD

The 69SD had the SD emblem in the right valance panel between the back up lights, as for any emblems in the interior there were none ! The SD emblem can be bought off eBay and can be attached to the back valance.

My car is a bench seat 4 speed ( recently converted to a Tremac 5 speed) so I have no console. My dash is black with no wood grain, silver bezels around the radio, I think the GTO came with woodgrain but I am not to sure about the Beaumont !

Back in the 80's I worked with a guy who had a Beaumont SD (68 or 9) with a 396. There was a big SD emblem on the glove box door. I thought that was factory. Guess someone stuck it there. Seems like a strange thing to do back then.

I got mine from George Tyre form the Canadian Chevelles and Beaumont club in BC. They cost me a lot $350.00, if you ask Brad ( SD396 )  or Eric (slinky ) they had sets made somewhere.

Also if you want a true 69 SD look it would have to be a bench seat car, no buckets and console available on the SD cars only on the Custom models.
