I remember seeing a feature on a 69 Pontiac wagon done for him too. He had a new one done every year there for a while, always Pontiacs.

I remember watching a episode of Carson with John Wayne as a guest.
Wayne claimed to have been the guy responsible for having divider walls installed between the urinals in men's public washrooms.
Seems whenever he went in to relieve himself, someone at the next urinal would glance over, recognize him, and turn to get a better look. Wayne says many a good pair of his shoes was ruined by the guy at the next urinal.

I've always thought that Stompin' Tom Conners could pass as John Wayne's son. Maybe conceived in that wagon? (Although I'm not sure if that would drive it's price up, or down...)
