colour of door striker plate and door lock assembly

My car was painted many years ago and i do not know what colour if any
the door lock striker plate on door post should be and the door lock assmebly ( in side of door)
both had paint on them but i don;t think they sould be painted.

picture is of drivers post where "lock stricker installs to"
