Cant get the rear window down? Any Advice?

I have one rear power window out of commission. There is power to the switch, and I tried to bypass the switch, so I assume the motor is done. In the mean time, I have one roof rail weatherstrip done, and I'd like to do the other, but the window is in the way. Any suggestions on how I could lower it a couple of inches, install seal, then put it back until I get whats needed to fix it? Or anything else I could try to diagnose? tks!

The only way I know of if the window motor is dead is to remove the window track bolts and lower it that way.
