Went to check out a strato chief safari wagon today. It is a pretty basic car with not to many options. It has been sitting in the woods for 36 years so not much left.If somebody needs something let me know.Terry

HELP..Is this thing a 68?.On the front fenders it has big red V8 emblems in front and Strato Chief on the rear. And there are two vertical tail lights on each side.Gate has Pontiac in the middle near the bottom with a mld. just below it and Safari up in the right hand corner....
Now I thought I had this thing pegged as a 67 but now I don`t know.It has the tail lights of the 67 but has the full chrome wrap around front bumper like the one below!!! Whats up?
Ultra Rare 67 1/2!! Probably just a home made half breed, I'm sure a 68 clip bolts onto a 67. As a kid I was messed up for years by my Dad's 69 Chevelle with a Beaumont front clip.
I know the old guy who has it.He bought it new.Never been messed with.He parked it in 74 ( due to rust ) and that is where it sits today.Probably GM used a left over 67 and stuck a 68 front clip on it who knows...Some strange things happened back in those days..
Definately not '68 if it has the split tail lamps! It could be a made one as stated just like mine below. It has the '67 vin and all the conponents but I had to use a '68 body due to the rust factor in the '67!!! Does it have a Grande front on it the the pic below??
