found trim

Today I found what was left of an Acadian Sport Deluxe, practically rusted back to mother earth. However I took the trim from tail light to tail light off the car(corpse) and the backup lights from the bumper. Also got a pair of 56 Pontiac tail light housings and a mid 60's "Laurentian" fender tag. I'll get some pic's up for anyone that may want to buy something.

Pictures are the way to go and I'm interested. I would be interested in, SD emblems, rear acadian panel, and the rocker trim. If it is a acadian Canso I would be interested in the SD emblems only because they would interchange with my Beaumont but I'm sure Carl would need the rocker trim so I would reserve it for him if it's available. PM sent

Are you talking Acadian Canso or Beaumont?   What year?

Well here's two pic's taken with my phone. The stuff is a little rough but better than nother if you don't have one I guess.

I'm sure you guys can identify the year. If I can't sell it I'll just mount it to some aluminum  sheet I have layin around.

I believe that is 63 stuff, pretty sure. I have a 65 so I don't need it but someone here sure does!

When I saw it all there I thought I better take it, even if some of it isn't in great shape. This stuff is getting hard to find, like you said  someone probably wants it. I'll take more pic's with the digital tonight so you all can see what shape these are in.

Hey Dan I passed the tail panel, lights, and SD emblem on to you because I know you could use them so hopefully Wes will get a hold of you. I did offer on the back-up lights. I was looking for the SD trunk emblem and the SD dash emblem.

good deal on the truck lid and trim for $200. I would buy it if it was in Ontario. I beleive the ACADIAN letters would be the same as my 65 Beaumont. Shipping the lid would be a killer

I don't think those letters are the same but wouldn't that be nice. I wish Kelico would pipe up because I have never compared them side by side so maybe he has?

I wish I knew if the tail panel is the same or not.. I'm sure the extrusion is the same but the subtle differences they seem to have in the letters is just enough to "bone" you.. (They being GM.)
Carl? any ideas? I've never had the two types side by side. would love to know though.

I can maybe dig out the parts book tomorrow Kelly and see what I can find. I have some messages I need to send from here tonight still before I log off, so likely wouldn't get enough time to see what all is the same as what.

If you can't get an answer figured out, just holler tomorrow Kelly.

If I read the parts book corectly, you could buy the Acadian letters for the Canso but the Beaumont came as panal and letters together  ( one part number)confuse

I'm assuming the emblem came off the car I got the tail panel from, the emblem was sitting right beside it. When I go back there I'l send some time looking between the rocks for any other emblem that may be near the car. The emblem has a B on it does that mean it was on a Baumont? I really don't know what year the car was, I couldn't find a tag on the car. I'll get some part #'s for you guys to help with identification.
This panel has the "Acadian" letters molded into the panel, they are not bolted on.

 took the #'s from the panel 11  15  62             5730238
I assume date code and part number. I'm going to soak the tail light in vinegar to see if the rust stains come off. They have no pitting so I'm hopeful they clean up.

that is correct. It should say beaumont, also it should be notched to mount on the
body line of the Quarter panel. They are hard to find in one piece.
like the hood script they break easy when washing car
