Anyone in Saskatoon who can inspect a car for me?

Looking for someone with a cell phone, a digital camera and who knows an original engine when they see one to check out a car for me asap in Saskatoon.

Thanks

Dave

Of course I'm happy to pay for time and expenses.  That makes certain that the inspection more than just a favour.

Need someone who can confirm  factory broach marks and stampings on a block deck.

I can get there next week - but may need someone sooner.

Thanks

I agree - I guess that's what the hobby has come down to. Cold hard cash.

Its a shame. From my perspective if I have the time - I would not hesitate to go check out a car on Vancouver Island for someone - and ask for nothing in return. I just do it for the continued enjoyment of the hobby.

I wish I could do it for you... just the enjoyment of 'checkin things out' is always fun for me..

I have looked at a number of cars for people, and most have been for free. I've had people ask me to travel to look at cars, and have offered to pay expenses, which I have accepted.
I'm not in it for the money, but if someone offered me $500.00, I'd do whatever it took to get the job done as fast and as accurately as possible.
I have mobile internet, and can download and e-mail hi-def photos on the spot. That way, the buyer can ask more questions, and get me to provide additional info while I'm still on the scene.
So my last remark was meant as a joke.

John

Carl I would gladly check it out for you ( for FREE) if I lived a little closer to it.

Then again I might be tempted to buy it, so that's a good thing!!

Agreed.

Years ago I went 400 miles one way for a friend to look at a $40,000 L72 Impala. I said I would do that one for gas and a motel. He paid me that plus a food allowance and a "tip". I think it maybe cost him $250 total.

Much closer I would have done a day trip, likely for free or close to it and hit a couple of auto wreckings on the way!

Hi Dave! I am 2 1/2 from 'Stoon so it would be all day trip for me as well. But Cheviac is in the city and I am sure once he sees the thread, he may be able to help you out!

That being said, if he can't, I could go on the weekend coming and make it a full day adventure and other than the gas, nothing else would be expected!!!

You can pm me the details address, phone # etc and I will go from there.... In the meantime, wish I knew of you, as well, this past summer... Bought a "wrec" from Saltspring Island.... Ohhh boy!!! If you get a chance, have a read!!!!

I am picking up a '68 Caprice wagon this spring that I bought in the fall! Your driving lamps just reminded me that this wagon has them as well...........

I'm in saskatoon, and willing to go take pictures and such. As long as my wife lets me take a break from our kitchen renovations...

A 68 Caprice wagon?  You're talking my language!

I have a 396 Caprice Estate that I'm trying to put on the road this month.

Is this the vehicle you need taken from Kelowna to Sask?

Dave

Agreed. I first got to know him in the 80's and always enjoy seeing him. Even if he is only a Chevy guy and cares nothing about Canadian Pontiacs..............!
