I've got 3 Pontiacs right now. Most important is my 69 GTO. Originally from McNaught Motors in Winnipeg, I found it at a consignment lot in Calgary in 1999. As every classic car is, it's a project on the go. In the 10 years I've had it, I really haven't spent that much money on it. But I have had my fun. It's great to jump into it go out for a run Black Diamond Alberta, or join up with the club members from the Alberta Iron Indians Pontiac Club for a supper run. It's a plain GTO with a 400 four barrel, turbo 400 auto. Not a numbers matching car any more. It originally came with a two barrel. Very rare to a see a GTO equipped like that. Also had a 2:56 rear end. PMD hub caps were featured as well. I've made some changes to the above, but all would be a dealer installed type change and even the factory Harvest Gold color has been maintained. It's due for a re-paint very soon.
I also have a 1979 Pontiac Grand Prix Enduro Stock Car. I raced it three seasons at Race City in Calgary from 1998, to 2000. It has a 350 Chev for bolt main engine and turbo 400 auto. It shows it's racing bruises and now sits at an acreage north of Calgary.
Lastly is my Vibe. Everyone knows the story of these cars. All I can say is that has been very reliable, cheap on gas and for a re-badged Toyota, it's a better attempt from GM to market a grocery grabber than the Pontiac Astre, Fire-Fly or Aztec....in my opinion.
Myself, my interest in Pontiacs started when my Grand Father would take me to the dealership he worked at in Lethbridge Alberta. Enersons became a Sunday destination with him and he would let me sit in the new Pontiacs in the show room while he finished his weekly sales paper work. It was common for me to grab a brochure or two on my way out, to which I've kept all these years. I made this trek often between the years 1966 to 1973. He moved to Beny Chevrolet and worked there till 1978. I made many a visit to that dealership as well even learned to drive with the latest in demonstrator cars he had.
The Pontiac line was his most successful product to sell. I met a fellow by accident at a supper one night who mentioned my Grand Father as the salesman to sell him his first car/Pontiac and had also sold Pontiacs to his father and Grand Father as well. Three generations to buy Pontiacs!
I've had a new 1980 Trans AM, a 76 GMC Sprint "SP" and a new 81 Corvette as past notable cars.
The Sprint was a rare vehicle and tops the list of "I Never Should Have Sold That Car" stories.
Anyhow, thanks again for letting me join. I hope to use this web site as a valuable resource for links, letters, and advice.

I tried to get hold of Clint this PM to help me with these photos. He's in Portland at the swap meet. This is a great site. I've spent most of my day here.....instead of doing my taxes. Ahem!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I've got more pictures pertaining to my past fleet. I'll post them on another thread. I'll let you know which direction I go.
Have a good week.

Dale has been a great addition to our local club, and I'm it'll be the same on this site. As he indicates, he hasn't spent much on the car, and while it was missing a few things, he was fortunate enough to be able to get some of the missing items from our local Pick 'N Pull. As always, there's also been quite a bit of elbow grease.
Thanks Clint. As mentioned earlier, I'll be getting the whole car painted. An attempt was made to paint just the nose and a fender, but as luck and fading would have it, it was a near match, but not good enough.
I'll live with it until the fall, then it goes in with Rick Johnson, the GTO Guru and body man of our time.
