I actually havent had much luck at all latley, my bike broke, my truck left me stranded, and I had to hot wire the wagon until I get another steering coloum, been one hell of a week! went over to Todds to help him with the 59 and the new master cylinder must have a bad seal! Got a couple more estimates for the addition on the house they are all over the place from $25,000 to $67,000 now we dont know what we are going to do or who to trust is the cheap one missing something, or is the high price on more realistic! Hey just wondering how cheap can you find a 59-61corvette body for? and where should I look? Not going to restor but looking for a gasser project, ive been looking for a 53-54 2dr pontiac or chevy but im just not having much luck, my buddy Andy wants me to look at a kaiser henry J but I dont like the look, looked at a 49 dodge but to far gone. Maybe I should just give up on building a car and build another chopper! Im just bored lately and need to get my mind healthy again so im motivated. The shop has been so busy I need a mental break. See this is why I love CP some where to vent with friends and get good idea's thanks again Todd for the great site!
If you want an old Corvette body for a gasser better off to find a replica body. There was a 54 body on kijij last year asking price was ridiculous as usual. There is a kit car company in the USA that makes replica bodies.
My Monday started out bad too, Stopped at Timmies just down the street from the office and the Deville wouldn't start, ground to battery heating up real good, smelly elctrical smell, me thinks bye bye starter
Don't ask where the starter is located on that Northstar. Anyway I had it towed two blocks to JB Racing. Looks like I may be driving the LeMans today.
Yes the north stars starters suck to change, wait until the newly installed starter buggers up a week later got to love that. Been down that road before.
We can offer life time parts and 6months labour at my shop. Dealership is the devil! and to be quite honest id do the labour for a year for most people, id just take the loss, worth it to save a customer and gain a loyal customer.

Joe is a good friend, I'm sure he will give me a bill on this job but he does a lot of things for me on future considerations. I'm not too worried about it. I went over on my lunch hour to help him and we ended up with a load of veal parmigiana, penna, cheese, bread, and vino. When I looked at the clock it was 2:30 and an hour and a half had gone bye so we had a good laugh then started pulling pieces offf the Northstar.
