WANTED 1968 dated 427 with 3916321 casting

Hi fellas,

just thought I'd cast the net out and see if there are any 1968 dated 427s laying around under the shop bench.  I need one and I'm interested in anything from a block to a complete running engine.

Have cash ready to pay fair value.

If money doesn't free the grip on the engine and a trade is preferred, I  have a standard bore 1969 "512" block which is a factory 4 bolt main short block with "CE" code stamping, dimple rods and original pistons.  This block is dated Dec 18, 1968.

Any leads appreciated.

Also, thanks for all the help and input on shipping my Impala from Saskatoon - I think I've found someone that will work out - just making the final arrangements.

Thanks for the link!

I saw your communications on the SS427 site and I think the block would be of interest for Bob Strain's convert - but I'm looking for the ol' grocery-getting 385hp 2 bolt version.

Truth be told - I'm looking for a specific block with the "IS" or "IJ" stamping - sure call me crazy....and you'd be right.
