I went and looked at a couple of nice A body cars (buddy of mine's cars) this morning, I'm not sure if they were made in Canada but here are some pics, the Grandam was pretty unique with the louvers on the rear windows and the factory Naca vent hood, notice that there were no cowl vents at back of the hood in 1975, only year like this and rear painted bumper, only year like this as well.
Grand Ams not made in Oshawa, the rarer GA's would have the formal opera window, the sport Coupe style with louvers is the most common. Does that car run? I hope it isn't out in that field all the time.
The Grand LeMans could be an Canadian car, did you check the VIN?

I'm back to looking for BOP 350/400/455, any ideas? Sold the sbc
I'd call or go to the closest salvage yard and see if there are any 73 -77 LeMans Safaris, or Big Grand Safaris. They came with Pontiac 400 2bbl standard in most of those years and had 400 4bbl and 455 4bbl as options.
Canadian Safaris, Laurentians for example will have 400 small blocks but you will see the orange engines right away and move on.
Grandam was pretty unique with the louvers on the rear windows and the factory Naca vent hood,
All GM Canada literature I have ever read refers to these as dual NASA type scoops. The NACA reference is a US Pontiac enthusiast reference but GM Canada called them NASA type hood scoops in all marketing literature. I don't know what US literature calls them.
Ray, we have the same looking vents under the wings of or Dash 8 aircrafts, they are called naca vents, that's where i got the name mixed up so nasa vent hood it is. Also, does anybody sells front floorpans for these A body cars besides Goodmark, they are double the price of my 1972 Lemans floor pans.
I have heard 73 -77 Chevelle's are availble at NPD , they have to be close.
Oh Pascal, I believe that NACA vents is the correct term to describe those scoops in aeronautical language, just saying that GM Canada chose to call them NASA type scoops.
Bought the 1975 Pontiac Grandam 400 today ! The price was right, what a nice tight ride this car handles so nicely, I drove 70 miles from Teulon to Elie MB, it has been such a long time since I drove an A body of the mid seventies, I sold my 1975 Olds Cutlass S back in 1988 and always missed these types of cars ... The car has AC and Cruise Control (don't work LOL) newer headers-dual exhaust, brakes all around and gas tank, tilt steering column, power windows-steering and brakes, rear swaybar, nasa hood, rally II wheels 15 X 7's, shouldn't need to much for the safety besides floorpans work, I removed the wet moisturized ratty carpet, I'm saving this car from further detoriation ... The car wouldn't start after I stop to top up the trany and gas, battery not good, when I got home i noticed a broken red wire to the alternator and a real dirty air filter. Happy Camper today !
