We have some great and generous CP members

Have had a chance in the last little while of being in contact with a few members of CP here and am just blown away but people's generosity.  Maybe a person shouldn't mention names but I've gotten in trouble before and survived and when it's for a good cause I don't think it should be a problem.  Have sent a few parts around the country and one package went to Dave (beau64) and a cheque came back for about 25% more of what was asked for, how nice and appreciated.  I just liked the email that said he was happy with them.  Another great guy Vincent (67 Poncho) had a car in our part of the country that I was able to keep an eye on and arrange some storage so when it came time for him to settle up with his storage he adds way too much to it for me.  All I was doing was enjoying the car stuff and being able to yak with him once in a while.  Anyhow kudos to these two and many others on here who I have been it touch with and you know who you are that make this what it is and the enjoyment I receive from it.  Keep it up.

I totally agree. I have sent many items stating that I would be happy to get the shipping cost in return. The generosity has allowed more than 1 donation to the maintenance of this site.
I have been impressed with our community.

That's one great thing about this website is I've yet to encounter any idiots as has been the case on so many other car websites! Everyone here is so down to earth and the information available is just staggering to say the least! Everyone has a great sense of humour to boot!

If you have parts sitting, and you feel they may never see the road...
Give them up to a car that will.

Pay it forward so to speak.

Agreed. I've sent items that way as well and I've only had one instance where that didn't happen.

I agree that the information, help and banter is usefull and entertaining. Much better than most of the other sites that I watch. It's good to have Jerel looking out for us in the Okanagan. He has been able to help many of us with a generous spirit and a good heart.
The idiots soon find that they are not tolerated. When it bites you in the rear end enough times you either change or spend all your time licking the sores.

Wow, that's generous of you Carnut!
I have a die cast grille for a 69 Grand Parisienne if anyone can use it. I think it's for the LH side.

I only wish I had some car parts etc. to share with somebody cry.gif ... someday, that day may come.
It's hard enough getting ANY parts on PEI (all the scrap metal has been sent to the mainland for processing for years and years).

I would like to thank many members for their generousity, both for sending me stuff and all the information I get on this site beer.gif

I am glad to hear that this is a common thing among members, as I too, was blown away by the generosity from (cdnpont) Mark.  Being down in the states and owning a Canadian Pontiac, it is hugely appreciated to have people in Canada that are so generous and willing to help!  I have had parts that look nice on the shelf, but have given them away to those in "need" (they look A LOT better when they are on the car!)  Thanks again Mark!

I'll second everything that's been said. Even if I don't post I check this site at least once a day. It's the best one on the net in my book.

Well, what can a guy say but thanks for you time, effort, travel, oversight, the time seeking a good home, the hours spent to get this car from one place to another and in the first place, to go look at it to see what it needed for it's cross town trip!!! This stuff cost money and if I was not appreciative for it in the first place, there would not have been extra in it for you!!!! But, there was and I do appreciate it!

I am like most guys here, just did it because someone else is interested in the hobby plus being part of this network, we are indeed tied together by on common thread that being old cars no matter what flavor we prefer! That being said, I too would say I want nothing for it but I too have been burned by those ungrateful ingrates, and it does hurt!

While we are on the thank-you tangent, I have to also thank DaveJ for hooking me up with the truck guy and pushing ahead in getting things done! He got his car to Victoria and I got another project brought to me on the return trip........

And again, since we are on this thread, we had talked about having everyones address for us to see privately for these certain instances of and if we need help with anything.... Any news on when we will all be listed??

Thanks again to Jerel and DaveJ.........................

The hard part is doing an address listing privately. I suppose those of you who wanted to be on the list could PM me and I could do a bulk email to all members..
