Besides the '64 convertible, do you know this one Todd?

sweet ride!!

Looks like my old '64. Condition looks good too.  I don't think he'll get anywhere near $14K though (even though it's probably "worth" it) .

Right now is a really bad time in the Canadian economy to sell.  In a few years he might get $10-11 ish.  RIght now,.. maybe $8K
I know a few high rollers on the Alberta oil rigs who are into cars and even they are no longer tossing around cash like they were a year ago.  I think most car owners will be holding on for at least 5 years before prices start to bounce back a bit.

But,.. that means it's a good time for a buyer right now smile.gif

nice '64! smile.gif

I have seen this parked in the owners driveway but I don't know much about it. If it looks as good as his convertible it will be nice. It's out of my price range anyways.

The first place I would look would be the trunk. In the pic of the trunk, it looks like some work has been done in the area of the rear body mounts. On the right side it looks like rivets.

I think you nailed that one! (good eyes)  smile.gif I would agree ,... those look like rivets.  And this was a place that 99.9% of all '64 Pontiacs had rust holes. (unless they were NEVER winter driven in Canada)   Both corners of the trunk were usual places for rust holes.  The '64 CS which I restored had the same two holes.  And after the body shop,.. it had the same rivets wink.gif

Another problem spot were the corners of the front floor pans.  If it had rust holes in the trunk ,.. I would guess that it had repairs in the floor pans as well.  And if it spent it's life in the "east" ,...... then I'd check the under carriage and frame even closer.

If those kind of repairs were done properly,.. it may be ok.

If the frame is nice, the trunk and floor could be updated for a few bucks   the car is pretty  and price in line    if it was 20-25 then its expensive...

And as Carl said the price is not out of line for a Pontiac in this condition. I hope it finds a good home.
