Sub title: El Camino Custom
Mileage: 21,630 miles
Location: Fredericton, New Brunswick




Custom El Camino.

This custom creation was dubbed Tangerine Dream and was built by Ralph Addis. It took top awards at the 80/81 truck/van sweepstakes. It also took second place in the mid america class and 4th in the international class that same year.

The car is a 1974 El-Camino mid section with a firebird front and rear clip. The car was widened 5" and lengthened 18" to accomodate a chromed Jag rear rearend and axel housing. Engine is a 403 Oldsmobile backed by a 400 automatic transmission. There are far to many custom touches to name but as you can see in some of the pictures. there is a lot of attention to detail.

The car was purchased and driven for about 22,000 miles but has been stored inside for the last 10 years. There are some signs of aging that may require some attention. mostly in the area of tires, paint buffing, and TLC.

I am selling this for a friend but will pass on all proposed offers

Maybe its just me but there's something kind of yechhh about the lines on that thing.

I think its the back end that seems too long or something.

I'm rarely critical, but the writer of the eBay ad says "There are some signs of aging that may require some attention".
I think the whole car has aged and hasn't aged very well ... stuck in the late 70's, early 80's ... not my thing.
Sorry, but I would have to tear the whole thing apart.

I agree, that hump behind the cab in the sides of the huge "whale tail" bed is a bit off, or the back bed sides in front of  the rear spoiler have to be higher (could be the pictures).

I believe that car was here in Newfoundland for awhile. The last time I saw it, it was at a shopping mall on tickets. I often wondered what happened to it.
