Thanks for the lead on the car from Wasaga!

Wonder why most Canadians when they want to sell "over value their cars?" especially in a market that is OFF 30%. It is always nice to make a buck, me included, but one must face the
reality of our hobby right now!!!!!
Not much if anything is selling!!!!!!! If you over price you will probably never sell it! Plus your first offer is usually your best and if it is a reasonable offer and you turn it down ....good luck getting another!
I guess too many people have simply overpaid or put too many $$$ in their cars and now own a car that is
not worth what the current buyer will pay!

Any Comments?

Any Comments?      I think Canadians are more cautious than Americans..  If we have any money, we put it in bank..
I  am guilty of buying cars, and adding some equipment or repairs and figuring the car is worth what i have "in it"
Some guys go with a insurance appraisal, as gospel for value
I have seen American (especially racers) buy a car for 10 add 20-30 in hop ups and tire of it and sell for 10-15 .. When I want to buy a (e.g.) newer car, I look to see what they are selling for, yet when we sell, we don't compare, we just put on a price and "dig in"

Old hobby cars, are the only thing, I have ever bought, and got "most" of my money back..    yet we never hesitate, to trade late model stuff and pay fairly large differences
It must be a Canadian thing

When I sold my Ventura II to a member for 15,000.00  I lost $158.48 , but I had to just let it go   its only money....(2cents)

These cars are relativly easy to find, it's just the price is usually over inflated here in Ontario.
Classic cars are not something people need and in times of recession ther is usually a lot for sale. Seems right now most owners have Barrett-Jackson visions without having the brains to figure that is a TV show first and car auction second. Real world prices are not so robust.disbeliefnodisbeliefnodisbeliefno
