If they could only put all the junk and non auto parts in one area so you are not walking for miles to see a few car parts. I have sold more at the small swap meets then at Barrie and the spots are a lot cheaper.
I have to agree, Barrie is not what it once was. The last two times I went, I only did the Barrie event on Friday and went to other events on Saturday and Sunday.
I fine Friday the day for serious buyers. Saturday and Sunday, its window shoppers and their entourage and you spend the day fighting with strollers and pets.
Be that is it may, I'm still going on Saturday since it really is the only day that I can. Hopefully I remember the sun screen and I hope it is needed.
I hear you regarding the non automotive fluff. The Internet has changed things, Barret-Jackson has changed things, plus time has marched on. I still manage to have a good time.
If you are looking for heavy items, don't forget to sequester the kid's wagon.

Probably not. Didn't find anything last year. Had a good time partying but expensive weekend to go camping. If anyone is going, please post a sign for me "looking for players challenge stuff". thanks guys.
went fri was a very nice day. ran into norontcan and the misses. picked up a 65 fisher body service manual and a glove box manual for the 70 2+2. noticed alot less venders and looks like he is making the rows shorter.
should have noted norontcan was also proudly sporting his CP shirt

Saw a 60 Cadillac 4 dr htp for sale, didn't see a price. No rain at Barrie, I was on the field at 8:30 left at 2:00 bought a clean 1965 Beaumont horn cap and ring and a 1965 Pontiac horn cap and ring left it with a friend for sale. Lots of short rows and empty spaces. Greed is rampant as the old fart has raised his lot fees again!

Went on Friday. Weather was great. Sun burn type day.
Picked up a number of dealer emblems which I will post.
Also got a great deal on 5 parts catalogs 1) 65 - 76 full size Pontiac 2) 65 - 76 full size Buick 3) 65 -76 full size Olds 4) 70 -76 Pontiac ( 250-260 series ) 5) Cadillac 82 -90 D, 82-85E&K, 82-84Z, 82-83C but just missed the 65 -? Buick Skylark one as there was a chap ahead of me who wouldn't give it up.
Arcadian I saw those horn rings, they were nice.
There were 2 Beaumonts in the car corral, a 64 Deluxe more door ( which has been in Old Autos ) and a 68 396 Sport Deluxe which was marked as sold ( believe we've discussed this one on this site ). Pics to follow.
Exchanged pleasantries with Stephenzone who was proudly wearing his CP shirt.

How much does he charge now?
I heard "Old man Hainey" had jacked the prices again for the fall meet. Some of the guys in my area are saying that the Car & Truck Show in Bobcageon has a good swap meet, getting bigger each year, spots are reasonable, & they sell more there than at Barrie. That event is in Aug. [I think] check OLD AUTO's for date!!!!!
