Thanks Guys (and Gals)! I feel very honored to have my old car chosen for the monthly feature. When Todd said he was looking for an earlier model Canadian Pontiac, I thought like Wayne and Garth "I am not worthy" but sent him the story in case he wanted to use it. Quite a contrast with a truly beautiful 55-56 like Mark (Judd55) or Al (Taylor55).
Thanks again, Dave

Dave, the hobby is about cars, not just show cars. Very few of us have beautiful cars like the ones you mentioned. I think that is why we are happy to see all different levels of cars.

It certainly sounds like you've found yourself an enjoyable hobby. These cars always require tinkering, and I'm sure you'll always be on the quest for some elusive part.
pics is of my current and only 55 I've ever had, I've wanted on since I was 11 years old !! ( this is the only time I can show my 55 pic !! LOL )
Don't ever paint it as it looks so "right" the way it is (in one chubby guys opinion.)

And - I do not know how I forgot to say it before, but I like my 56 Canadian Pontiac better than I would a 55 Chevy!!! Better styling, way better dashboard, more unique, and still can be made into a real road terror at reasonable cost!

I think I can relate a little as it sounds similar to the Beaumont scenario in that it is a less common car yet we benefit from being able to find many parts (and even after market parts) for the more common Chev sister models (in the case of the Beaumont, the ever available Chevelle parts.) Yet the harder to find, Pontiac specific parts continue to make the car unique! Again... cool car.

I agree 100% about the Beaumont - I miss my 66 Chevelle and (as someone here said recently) think the 66-67's were the peak of car design, but when I look for my next car, I am going to look for a Beaumont!

Congratulations Dave on having your 56 featured on the Canadian Pontiac website as Car of the Month. It looks like it will be one sharp car when completed.
