I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before, but buy yourself some large clear ziplock bags and a black marker pen, and put all the fasteners from each part you dismantle into separate bags and then label them. You will see the wisdom of this later, as these projects can often take longer than expected. We usually can't remember what bolts came from where!

Also take all the pictures you think you will need and then take double that! Pictures are extremely helpful for reassembly.

I would remove the front clip next. The fenders, inner fenders and rad support can be removed as a complete unit.

Ditto this, an alternative is to have your wife save all her cottage cheese containers (those nice ones with the snap-on lids) and Cool Whip containers and sour cream containers and coffee cans (for head bolts) etc. and wash them and use them with a bit of masking tape on the top labelled with permanent black marker pen.

Also ditto what Carl said.

Lots of fun ahead!

Dave
