I have done it using about 4 of those little Princess Auto bottle jacks and some good solid lumber to spread the lifting load out over a large area.

I lifted mine off doing this. (1964 Beaumont)

Front end removed.
Eng removed.
Interior removed
Jacked up car with frame and supension on.
Put jack stands under rockers (4).
Lowered frame and supension enough to slid in true 4X4's.
Jacked up frame again.
Put jack stand under the 4X4's and lowered. Body about 2 ft in air.
Was able to them roll frame out from under after removing front wheels and using floor jack.
Put back in reverse.

i think this one will work thanks carl, i might change it a bit. Get me and my dad to lift the front then slide a 4x4 between the frame and the body then the same at the back. i like the usage of bottle jacks there nice and cheap
