(For those that may not be aware, these are posted in current threads.  The rag I believe is a 6 cyl and the coupe an 8 cyl.)  Personally, I'd lean towards the rag even though I'd prefer the 8 and the '67 model...

The only thing good about a convertible is its resale value.

I'll take the coupe anyday.

That's an easy one for me, I'm a convertible guy all the way. My sports cars have been primarily convertibles. I love looking at hardtops but have no interest in owning one. Was funny when I was looking for the car I have now my wife would gently remind me, just make sure it's a convertible. When she met me I had a convertible and now 30 years later we still like the wind blowing as we drive.

Ditto.  Having said that, on a hot, hot sunny day I really enjoy leaving the roof up and lowering the back window so that it's like a shaded wind tunnel.  (Which is why some of those '60's Mercs with the rear power window apeal to me.)

We each have our individual preferences.
My eye prefers the 64/65s styling to the 66/67s so I vote for the 65 rag. ( I would also have voted for the 65 if it was a hdtp and the 67 was a rag ).
Motor is of no consequence in the discussion.

If the top goes down the price goes up!

If it were between the two cars posted I would have to go for the rag. More to do with the SD than it being a rag top though. I can roll the windows down and get a good breeze going. The engine in this case isn't a big factor for me.

Hands down winner is the rag. I love the look of that car.

Hey, wait a minute! I love the look of the hardtop too!!!

Seriously though, the rag's the winner.

The feedback indicates that it's a little closer than the poll states. (It looks like only 4 of the 7 that have provided feedback chosing the rag voted for the rag.)

I'm one of the guilty ones. I fixed that problem.

If the 67 wasn't almost the same as mine, I might have voted for the rag! I am just a little partial to a GG 67 Beaumont. Besides that, I saw the car up close at Threehills yesterday and it looks better in the show than it does in the pictures here! Awesome car but I don't think the current car market will bring his asking price of $30G.

I've owned a rag for 45 years, my first:

59Ford.jpg

and even though in Wisconsin (where I grew up and went to school)(pretty much same winters as Canada, eh?) where it's limited top-down weather, and now in Florida where for different reasons is limited top-down weather, there is nothing like the wind blowing through your hair and wherever you look the whole wide world is right there around you ...

LOVE those 66-67, someone said recently they were the BEST styles ever, but ...

100% ragtop!

Dave
