Back from West Virginia

I got back to Ontario from West Virginia last night. Had a great trip down & back in the Catalina. One repair only was a burn't out H/Lamp & I got that replaced in the drive way before going to show on Sat. Car passed 27 point NHRA inspection & I was only car at show with "fire extingusher" Worked on friend's 70 Cutlass when there, got both doors,& fenders, trunk lid sanded & primed 1st. day, then did the rest of body inside & out in primer. Garage we were at was full of "dirt" Super Modifieds, a "mean ol" dog that bit me 1st day, & 2nd. day there was a 4' copperhead rattler in the shop!!!  Don't know how these "Rednecks" have the $$$ to go racing, but they do & this guy had a Camero up in a trailer that he drag raced yrs ago, just sittin there, engine was on a stand in shop, SBC, 671 "huffer" & 2 Holley's you could stick your head inside!!!  Said he may "stick it in somethin else layin around" The 64 averaged around 16mpg on a U S gal. & I was very happy with that, for a 389 w/dual quads, & a heavy car.  Great to be back in Canada!!!!
