You are right Ken the 93 has the tried and true original small block V8 from the 9C1 package RPO L05. This is the last use of the original small block from 1955 in a passenger car. My owners manual says 205 net HP and 300 lb ft torque more than adequate to move this car around and as I have said before mine burns rubber like a squeeling pig but of course that is not what this car is about.

For $1,800 this is a lot of Crusier even though it is looking dated and is huge I like them. I told Mike667 to look for one just tonight.

my son grabed a 97 sts today for $1400 black on black 195,000 km nice car well looked after. great beater for cheep cheep.

Yes these cars are a fast,comfortable and now dirt cheap. I was in my friends 71 SS454 Chevelle on Saturday going out to the Fleetwood Kountry Cruise in, he floored it and after the usual famous "Quadie bog" it took off like it should for a stock 454. I was thinking the whole time that I could beat it with my old 2000 STS in the 1/4 mile.

Earl, go on line and check the old road test data and compare to the STS, You could beat it!!

In my mind the Northstar is one if not the best engines GM ever made and 99% of guys driving old iron out there have no idea that the STS or Deville, not to mention the Allante will blow there doors off. Again many people do not know that the ZRI Corevette was powered by a variant of the Northstar the LT5.

I am amazed that more guys are not using these engines in resto mods, 300 net HP 300 lb ft !

My daily is a 98 Deville and she sure does move!!! A little mazda 5 was trying to show me that my grandma car had no guts, hahahhaa I showed him took him a few to catch up and he finally came up next to me and was like holy crap!!!!Really wanted a fleetwood but just couldnt find one but then again what would i do with another 18 inches of boat? They make awesome lowriders a lucky kid will scoop that up for sure.

My son has a black '05 Bonneville GXP with the Northstar. Sweet and mean looking car! Hard denying the smooth power that those 4 cams make! He's given many of the local Firebirds and Camaros a run for their money!

 the woman was calling here a couple years ago for a ball park price (free appraisal)-guess she is selling it for an estate or something-I passed by it back then-did the quick walk around.

I was looking around the web for road test data, not that easy to find but here's what I was able to come up with:

1969 Chevelle SS 396  0 - 60 = 6.5 seconds, 1/4 mile = 14.6 seconds

1996 Cadillac STS         0 - 60 = 5.8 seconds, 1/4 mile = 14.5 seconds

Anyway you get the idea, your basic luxury Cadillac is equal to or better thatn some of the most revered muscle cars.

Now $1400,has 4 Brand New tires.Old guy can't drive anymore.Has some wear but would be a good car for a few more yrs!
