Have you ever seen a funky old floor shifter like this?

Here's a couple of pictures, as attached to the original 3-speed tranny:

I can't see any markings on it. The shifter handle was broken off, maybe 1/2 way down when I got the car, I epoxied a knob on the stub. It did work, although kind of sloppy (bushings worn out). Note that the levers have been modified in a really funky way.

The car is a 56, this shifter has to be at least 40 years old.

Any clue as to manufacturer would be appreciated, for historical purposes, eh?

Thanks,
Dave

hoisted enough of those in and out, laying on my back.

I'm going to guess & say it's either a FOXCRAFT or a FENTON shifter?? Anybody else want to give "their" age away???

Gotta agree with rabbit on that one. Looks like one I had in my first 57.
