why would people collect electrical insulators???? then again why would people collect old modes of transportation that are noisy, smelly, do not carry any airbags, and with terrible MPG!!!!biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

The old threadless insulators (they used hot tar to put them on the telephone poles at first, thus when they replaced them with threaded insulators they either smashed them off, or they broke while being removed) are where the moneys at.

they are insulators for electricity    every house used to have one to reduce hydro down to 12 volt

Jonathon, these were used on hydro line to insulate the wires from the cross arms on the poles, so that the electricity didn't come down the pole to ground, or you!!!!
