Levelled the 67

Well I figured i should post some sort of an update on the 67.
I got bored and pulled the farmered up coil spacers outta the back of the car a couple weeks ago.  It still has a bit of rake, but nothing to crazy like before.

The best b4 pic I have:

The money shot:

Currently I have the body up off the frame to re do the body mounts and fix some rust on the floor/ trunk floor.

I'd also like to point out that those spacer dealies were made out of what looked to be thin wall pipe, almost like exhaust pipe. They were both diff. lengths as well. The car doesnt seem to sit funny though. Some people I tell you!!

You did well to remove those Macgyvered up spacers. Looks more level that before, and probably safer.

Certainly on the right track removing those things!

Keep the project pictures coming. Inspiration for us all...

They make new springs that will make it sit like a Beaumont again..... It does look good when part of the back tire is covered on those cars! Good job removing the spacers. Beaumonts handle much better with the back lower than the front..... just my experience from 25 years ago!

I noticed quite a bit of diff during a short lil drive I took it on b4 I jacked the body up. It had way less front end lift when you put your foot down and it also didnt push near as bad as b4.

The only thing is if i put a lowering spring in the rear i will have tire clearance issues.
The previous owner had troubles with the tires scraping on the fenderwell. So Im assuming why those ridiculous spacers were made.  It also has fairly new shocks I noticed, so I think that might have been part of the prob in the first place.

You need a different offset rim on the back to get those tires more in the wheel well.Something to look for in the future.

Yes I plan on swapping out the rims eventually, as to what style I am undecided. It should be fine though for now as I dont really haul anything or carry more than 2 people.
