Thank You CP

I just purchased one of everything in the CP store to say thank you for all the help from members and staff.  You cant get much for free these days, but the help from the members has been invaluable.  I have put my 'project' on hold as planned for the summer, I've already put 2000 miles on this summer.  The engine bay and trunk still need to be done and some trim needs to be re-installed, but the local feedback that I am getting is awesome. I did everything myself.  (my brother raked the rear fender yesterday with a chainsaw.....yes a chainsaw.) Now when I look in the driveway, I dont see my cool car.....I see a scratch.  Oh well.  We can all collectively be mad at him.  Close up pics are coming, but everytime I get it ready for pics.....I go cruisin' instead.   These 2 pics are right after paint, much has been done since.

Whoa baby!!! What an absolute beauty!! The top picture looks like it could have been used for the brochure back when the car was new. I absolutely cringed reading the chainsaw part. YIKES MAN! If someone did that to my car, brother or not, they'd never find him in a shallow grave out in the bush beside my property!! JUST KIDDING GUYS!! JUST KIDDING!!! LOL!

Wow, I thought that photo was an artist's rendering. You need to blow that up poster size and hang it in the garage! Your car looks awesome. Thanks for supporting the site!

Nice to see it "Almost" done...it looks great! And the blacked out grilles look perfect. I'd love to paint mine but the wife quickly changes the subject whenever I bring it up.

I guess that's the beauty of having a car covered in scratches, chips and small dings, a chainsaw can't ever hurt it!

Nice gesture to CP.

For some reason on the bottom of the main picture I keep seeing the words, "Bond, James Bond"

That is the coolest Pontiac shot I have ever seen.  Whoever took that has talent!

Guys, it looks even nicer ( and sounds nice!) going down the road.
I notice the Nova in your driveway Tom, so I think I know where you live in Burton. If i'm down by your house and see your car out in the driveway I might have to stop and check it out!

Nice work on the car! What a beauty....black beauty! Sorry to hear about the scratches. Must break your heart but at least they can fixed. A bonehead brother cannot be fixed!

Wow  Thanks for all the positive remarks! I should post the rest! The interior is probably the best kept part of the car, so all I did was clean it and replace the package tray and a few knobs. I am eager to do the rest, but its time for the car to be my slave for a while instead of the other way around.  There is more wet sanding required, but I was running out of steam, the weather was good, so I'll pick up where I left off when it snows. My brother looked like he had seen a ghost when he expalined the chainsaw, and I am not done with the paint, so it could have been worse. (I am more disappointed than I seem) I like the idea of him waxing it! Or maybe the wet sanding? I wouldnt have bought the car if he didnt encourage me to go see it, so we are even maybe, and it is a driver so it wont be the last scratch.

Barry: Stop in anytime you like, coffee is always on! Everybody seems to know where I live once I mention the old Nova in the driveway. It belongs to my son. Im hoping to motivate him into doing the rockers on it.

p.s.  I didnt take the pic, and the photographer is grinning after reading your comments, and coming back for some more.

It looks black on an overcast day, but quite green in the sun.
