stellar collection!! if only the Lotto max had my name on it... WOW!!!

from what I understood.. GM used up the last of the 409's in 65, and only in a limited number of cars etc..
really cool car to get.. all of them are.

We have been able to determine on here that Canadian Pontiacs recieved the 409 throughout the 1965 Production run. There is no evidence of a factory 396 ever being found in a 1965 Canadian Pontiac. Chevrolet on the other hand used 409's in early production and switched over to 396 early in 1965 as noted above.

Thanks 73SC. If that is the case it is pretty interesting that Canadian Pontiacs used the 409's throughout the year. I wonder if this was just a way to use up inventory. Anybody know the production numbers for Canadian built 409 Pontiacs?
Also, are you saying that Canadian Chevy's used 409's part way through the year and switched to the 396 mid year, or did the Canadian Chevy's stick with the 409's for the entire year also?
