lifting a "big block" for a movie gag

I thought I'd share this.
here's a couple of photos of a project I'm working on at the moment.
we had to reduce the weight of this bus so it can move easier on it's side, so we pulled the 6liter chevy and the alison tranny to make it lighter.. but.. as we all know, you cant have a movie without the 'guts' in the vehicle, or it doesnt sell the shot right?

so I got to build it.. I used some of the "jewelry" for final touches.. LOL

the block is just "Tin", that I broke against my fab table..
it was a day of using "the ol' eyeball" to get it right.

it's a great job to have.  the only thing that bites about it is the hours.
I'm gone from the new baby and the Mrs. from 6:30 till about 8pm, and then barely get a visit before I have to crash.. LOL

it's all good.

Cool! I've always wondered what it would be like to have a job that you enjoy going to!

Good to hear you're working Kelly. Work quite often gets in the way but most of us have to do it. All you can do is max out the time you do have with them and it all works out. Like that new powertrain.
