Thought of Ken's electric truck project when I saw this truck this afternoon. This guy does alot of the electrical work here in town for the old cars and had retired but is now back at it again. He did an electric motorcycle about 3 years ago and has now just done this truck. He doesn't know quite how far he can go in a day but quite often does 60 kilometres. Said he has had it up to 110 with no problem and he thinks he has more power than the original 4 cylinder had.
Thanks, you may think the project is dead or at least comatose but I think about it everyday if that counts for anything. I'm still saving up for the rest of the parts I need and right now I have in front of it: 1. Bucking about 30 pickup loads of firewood to help the scouts sell wood this fall 2. Pulling my bros 409 out of his 55 GMC and sticking back in his 65 CS (and getting it mobile) 3. Sandblasting the front sheetmetal (gently) of my 66 Grande and putting it back together 4. Getting off my flabby butt in this hot weather.
I know, excuses excuses.
I do appreciate the motivation though!
Any more detail pictures? (like the battery under the box setup)

Sorry that is the only picture I took, I'm not a natural at that. He had a whack of batteries there though. He had a total of 18 batteries to run the truck plus 1 battery to run the lights. I'm going to drop off a couple wiper motors off with him for his stock pile in the next little while so can get you a little more info if you'd like. He's a super guy and I can pass you his name if you'd ever like to talk to him. He's been getting most of his stuff out of California.
