Yes the 65 radio is the sameas 66 except for knobs...I just bought one from a friend in Oregon for my other 66. I have bought a fair bit of stuff from him now...$500.00 completely reconditioned and warantied by Wards. Nice radio, expensive, but nice.

Thanks Jim, nice radio. I have one that is said to be for a 66 but it doesn't quite look like that. (Hmmm, now I'm kind of worried) I'll post a pic of it along with the panels pics but I can't until probably thursday as I am away from home on business unitl then.
The last one of those I had was about 6 years ago. I stuck it on ebay and let it go. Should never have done that!
Other than knobs, same as 65, right?
Sorry to derail your post!
yeah i guess the lesson is, horde everything, sell nothing and let your descendants figure it all out eh?
Well... I just sold my 1952 Merc truck ..and the guy sure appreciated me keeping the truck load of parts that went with it..all old parts are getting hard to find and expensive to buy..not that I like a shed full of crap but ..somebody has to keep it, or none of us would have the hard to find parts....and there would be a bunch of half completed cars running around looking kinda odd..I for one sure appriciate when I'm in need of a part that someone, usually always comes through for me!! ...Just my junk collecting thoughts!!
Yeah I picked up some stuff off my own scrap pile so it just goes to show ya you never know when you'll need something. Need to be like the farmers, just put it down along the fence line until it comes in handy. Course you also need a fence line and a really patient wife.
