need help getting my 1967 acadian glove box open.

I have never had my glove box open in my 1967 acadian. sounds funny but the key wont work and it seems like the button is screwed! any ideas how I can get in without braking anything, there could be a treasure trove of stuff in there? when I push the button in it stays in and when i push the glove box in a little the button pops out. the key postion is sideways right now, not up and down. anyone know if that is locked or just seized? any help or ideas would be great, dont want to take a crow bar to it, but the frustration is getting heavy! LOL...

If nothing else, you can go in from under the dash and destroy the cardboard compartment (available repro).

Just about anyone dealing in reproduction parts, order a glovebox liner for a 66/67 Nova
