Although I was only a kid in the 70's I have fond memories of watching all those great cop shows. Lets take a trip down memory lane. Remember these show openings?
Baretta:
Kojak:
Columbo, Mcmillan, McCleod, Quincy:
Streets of San Francisco:
Cannon:
Barnaby Jones
SWAT (I loved this show!) I had the Hot Wheels Truck and the theme song on a 45 rpm record!
Hawaii Five O
Starsky and Hutch (no Saturday night would be complete without it!):
C.H.i.Ps
Ok, this is 80's but still a good show. Crime Story:
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
I know Cannon did, a Llincoln Continental ... just not when all 400 lbs. of him was running/chasing a 180 lb. bad guy! All Quinn-Martin produced cop shows were sponsored by F*rd.

Remember Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford ? or am I showing my age ? The Granddaddy of all Police cars the Buick Police Special made for the CHP. High line Century 322 V8 engine and 4 port fenders in a two door post shell, half were auto half were manual.

Collectible Automobile did a good article on the CHP Centurys. In the last season of Highway Patrol they used a 59 Dodge. My least favorite show was Kojak. Telly Savalas loved himself too much.
IF P.I'S ARE INCLUDED, LETS NOT FORGET "DAN TANA" AND HIS T-BIRD, OR "MAGNUM" WITH HIS(?) FERRARI. ALSO, SIMON AND SIMON WITH THE POWER-WAGON DODGE AND THE '57 CHEVY AND THE CAMARO.
I MUST BE GETTING OLD, AFTER I POSTED I STARTED THINKING THESE MAY ALL BE SHOWS FROM THE 1980'S NOT '70'S.

wow what atrip down memory lane i have all the seasons of columbo now im thinking im gonna have to get more dvds of other shows like adam 12 god those were good shows
Many of those shows were terrible, but I watched them all. The cars were contemporary at the time but seen today, the street scenes are a real step back in time.
