62 Nova SS @ Victoria swap meet

This Nova SS was at the Victoria swap meet on Sunday , Exceptionally clean car ,showing 39000 miles. Just wondering though weren't the Nova SS script supposed to be on the rear 1/4 . They are on the front fender on this car and am just wondering if this is wrong??

I was at the swap meet early and missed this one.  Looks nice and I like the colour.

There were no SS's in '62, they started in '63. The 400 model was top of the line in '62.

That's a '64 SS. The exterior trim/moulding/emblems and dash trim that's on that car are '64 specific.

Looks like a 64 to me as well. I like the 64 Nova SS trim because it is so similar to the 65 Acadian SD trim. I believe the "Nova SS" emblems are in the correct spot but I am no expert.... anyone else know for sure?

I sure like the car. Was there an asking price?

If only it was an Acadian!

Nice looking car, in spite of my bias...

Sorry about the year the sign just said Nova SS and it said 62 0n the tail lights so I assumed it was a 62 or 63. It sure was a clean one. What value would you put on this car??

Hard to put a value on that car from a Canadian poncho perspective. Not sure about other guys here but I see much more value in an Acadian that is optioned the same as a Nova. I do believe that car would bring about 20% more cash than an equally as nice Acadian. Sad but true and it would seem that it is this way with most of our Canadian models.

My guess is that guy will want over $25,000 for that car and if it was an Acadian the asking price would likely be under 20,000. Another thing that I see is, that 62-65 doesn't seem to have the strong following that the 66 & 67 cars have.

I know we saw TC with his beautiful white one posted here for a long time around 12-13K. It amazed me that there wasn't a path to his door for that car at that price.

I am guessing realistic on this car is a max of $15 based on that, but it certainly should be higher than that when you think of what it costs to build a car. An original low mile car should always bring more than an equivalent restored car.

My two cents.
