Man, you had me going as I read down the ad and it said "manual" and then I got to the part where it said TH400.... Rats. That would be a cool car with a stick in it.

Sure be nice to see under the hood.  The 325 horse engine that year was the 396.  The 327 was 275 horse if my memory serves.  Wonder what it really is.  hmmm.

Good point Ken, he could be reading the 325 HP off the air cleaner decal and not know what is under it.

12 bolt posi and TH400......hmmmmm sounds like there might be 325 ponies in the front! I would be checking that one out a bit closer. I have seen a few 327 cars with TH400 but none had a 12 bolt posi.

I have never seen a 325/327 listed for anything but Chevelle or Nova in 67 or 68 but I never say never any more!

The factory literature certainly doesn't show anything specs or block ID numbers for it though.

I never say never either but am highly doubtful of any L79 327/325 motors being factory installed in '67 B-Body cars?.
Where's the 327/325 thing come from...the seller's memory?.
What suffix is stamped on the motor in this car?
I believe some 1965 Chevy B-Body cars were produced w/ L79's though...possible '65 B-Body Ponchos too but???.

My 1967 Pontiac Parisienne has a 327/325hp THM400 original, but badged as the 275/327. GM Canada tells me that the early production number of my car (#0041). That it received a 1966 engine left from the previous year. I've also had issues with my carburetor, master cylinder, transmission gaskets, etc. I have to purchase most mechanical items from the '66 line-up. Actual production was not 3800, it was 3957 if memory serves. I can check that if anyone thinks it's wrong. I'm afraid I don't have my documentation here in front of me.

So it's badged as a 275 but documented as a 325? I'd love to see that. Stuff like that is always talked about but never seems to be documented.

I thought I knew most of what needed to be known about B body powertrains. Until now.....................!!!!

I've never heard of a 327 beyond 300 horses with an automatic.
