Orange stuff is probably tranny fluid if you didn't plug the hole that the drive shaft came out of.
You need more than cinder blocks under the car befor you start to remove body mount bolts.

You're doing great Jonathan! Keep it up. I like looking at your "progress pics". You should consolidate them all into one thread.

keep up the good work ! remember, it comes apart a lot easier than going back together usually. Ya I agree with Rick, don't use those cider blocks, they blow apart. Find some good wood blocks say at a construction site they will usually give them to you.

Jonathon, every mistake you make will make you a better person & mechanic in the future. I remember some of the mistakes I made w/my 1st. car [ 55 chevy 2dr sedan]when I was 15 yrs. old, to this day, like trying to take apart the front u-joint w/ the shaft still in the car to get d/shaft out, then saw the bolts at the back of shaft!!!! Oh this is how it comes out!!! Pulled 6 cyl. & built a wild SBC back in 66 that would rule east Toronto for one summer, Car shook it's self to death with Duntov Cam [365hp. vette solid lifter] tri power, & some mean heads++ Boy that just brought back some memory's of beating a yellow 62 Impala 327 4 gear at Oconner & Sunrise just west of Vic. Park AH the good ol days Sniff sniff, I need a Kleenex
