Shuswap Lake Car Show Pics

Went to a car show in Sicamous which is a small town along Shuswap Lake.  Just a little info on Shuswap Lake for you out East.  They call themselves the houseboat capital of Canada as the lake has over a thousand miles of shoreline and I'm not sure now how many houseboats but there are many.  The main prize at the show today was a 4 day vacation on one of the houseboats but someone else was the lucky winner.  Another great show with a few cool cars.  Real neat Pontiac police car from one of the local businesses.  40 Caddy won people's choice.  I followed the black Caddy most of the way home.  He has taken it across Canada and back since restoring it.DSC00225.JPG

Few more pictures.  The Ford retractable was beside me and they always get lots of attention.  Got some tailight pictures for our man in Florida.       The ChevDSC00230.JPG

y painted like A & W had a 348 in it with a 4 gear.  They also had a mobile dyno set up where guys could run their vehicles.  This pickup was the first they did.  They then did a brand new Challenger, Camaro, and a Mustang.  Was a neat side feature for the show.

Love those tunneled Caddy lights!

I can't help thinking how cool they would be in a torpedo-back (hint hint to dualquadpete) biggrin.gif

And I can remember when those retractables REALLY drew a crowd when they locked up mid way no

Thanks Jerel!

I talked to the owner and he's had it since 1970. Didn't want to put it on the registry, but I told him about the site. He is trying to find brackets to mount his power steering he got from a 64 chevy

Is that a newer (Camaro?) air cleaner assembly with the snorkles cut off?

Wow you did find a twin for me.  I love his powerplant for climbing the Coq versus mine but a super looking Custom.  Also found a picture to justify my kids looking better than the old man who is getting pretty rough on the edges.  You are right, Kim, if the kids have any good looks it's from their mom.Forsberg_08_60.jpg

I have to admit Ray that I do enjoy making a little more effort and getting away to some of these places and I end up passing on our weekly ones here in the mall parking lot by a pub.  I quite often go to the weekly ones but it's just for 15 minutes or so to do a walk through and an excuse to go for a drive but the others sort of have a more complete package where I can really relax and bs if I want to.  Yesterday I drove along 4 different lakes and a river for an hour and half drive, pretty relaxing.
It was fun watching the water skiers doing their thing 100 yards off the highway.

Wow brings back great memories.  My kids had so much fun on my dad's and brother's quads.  Enjoy it there dad, you're doing the right thing.

Might sell the yellow GTO to make room for a Quad or two. The kids had a blast and got me thinking.
