I have an idea what he means but 350 big block is a term that really needs to be explained pretty often...

Nice looking car. One more I won't ever have room or time for.

Interestingly enough, someone went through the trouble to ad the Custom Sport emblems , but that appears to be it,, other than 350 big block?

Nothing wrong with it for the money , but it is not a Custom Sport according to the trim tag stated above.

I don't clearly recall, but somewhere in the neighborhood of some 2,985 Custom Sport Convertibles and 5,766 Hardtops made in 1964?

so,,your right...there were lots of them....

if you take the highest body # we have in the registry ans subtract the lowest we come up with 94,438 cars at least in 1964
from September 11th 1963-July 6th 1964

I 'd have to say that in a run of almost 95,000 cars I sure wouldn't consider  2,985 Custom Sport convertibles to be "lots".

'lots' is relative I guess??

I have a 64 Custom Sport which is rare enough ..yes.. but compared to my 68 Beaumont SD which is one of 702...hardtop and convertibles....well......you can see what I was getting at.

Actually that's more than I would have thought were made, as I had remembered the Custom Sport to be quite rare.  My comment was meant to be somewhat tongue-in-cheek as for some reason I've notice 3 or 4 of them for sale on kijiji in the past little while.

In terms of this car, I just went by the emblems and did not look any closer than this, as it looked like a good deal regardless of whether it was a real CS or not.  Just wanted to post what I thought looked like a nice buy for our western members!  thumbs.gif
