Any opera lovers out there?

I'm guessing that I may not get too many hits on this thread LOL.
I've come across a box of Opera News magazines from the '50's.  There seems to be some interest in them as they advertise them on Ebay for about $6 each.  (Whether or not they find any buyers may be another thing though!)
If anyone is interested please let me know and although I'm not looking for any money for them, perhaps someone is willing to make a donation to the Poncho site in exchange?...

Haaaaaaaaaa! Spoken like a true car guy.
PS Your envelope made the end of the day mail run today Carl.  (Too bad, otherwise I would have included a few of the magazines.)

I have to admit that living in a city like Toronto with so many top flight entertainment venues to go to, I do get to the opera a couple of times a year, the ballet and symphony too fellas! Lots of plays and musicals too. My wife goes at least monthly to one of these type events.  Am I a big enough fan to be interested in your magazines.....NOT.

I guess you have to be cultured to like opera. The only culture I like is in my cheese.

Now these are the type of responses I expected and am thankful to hear!!! (Personally the closest I've come to enjoying opera is when Bugs Bunny had them in his episodes.)

Ray, my son has been workong for The Toronto Symphany Orchestra for around 10 years now. I have went to one concert. I could probably arrange for a couple of promo tickets if anyone wants to go to a concert.

We were last at the Symphony in December, for the Canadian Brass Christmas show with the orchestra, it was awesome. Send tickets Al ! Roy Thompson Hall is a great venue in my opinion.

"You were born to rock, you'll never be an opera star."
Even though he once played in a band with Rick James, Neil is the man!...

If you want tickets I have to know what show you would like to attend and the date. My son works at the events and you end up just picking up the tickets at the ticket office before the concert. Email me your phone numbers and I will get the arrangements done.
