Starting on restoration of my 65 SD convertible which I bought last fall. Pictures of what I've done so far.  Body off the frame which was completly rusted & welded half A** with 1/4 boiler plate,  and that was not the bad part. All the holes to remove bolts holding the body to the frame were welded closed, needless to say after 4 days of using a saw zall & 10 metal cutting blades ( no cutting torch D*M) I was able to get to the frame bolts.

New powder coated Convertible 4-speed frames I bought Iowa this spring. I bought 2 of them both because the price was right. 1 for the red convert & 1 for our other 65 SD 4-speed Convert.

I will be making this into a L79 Clone, have the correct muncie & 327 350hp. L79 motor which I also bought this spring. It came from Califorinaand was complete for $300 + $350 for shipping not bad for a original 1965 L79 Chevelle motor.

Finished color will be Evining Orchard with White interior the same color as the my 1965 SS Chevelle L79 I bought new in Jan. of 65, of of course it's long gone you know the story when your young get just married its gas for the car or food for the kids and you know which one won out.
