Is this antique auto swap meet in Ontario a good one?

It goes on for 4 days - assume it must be substantial.  Thx.

Anythings better than the Barrie "sock jewlerey,& china" Swap meet with a few car parts thrown in, I ve heard more & more vendors saying this will be their last yr. of vending there. The cost of the spots is getting "right out of hand" & you can go to Fenelon Falls next wknd. & get a spot for $20 bucks & sell twice as much in parts. These smaller markets have got the right idea, keep the cost down so you can "pocket" some profit, limit the "non Automotive "crap" !!! Also heard the Barrie spots will likely go up again after this one?? Man you have to sell alot of "stuff" just to break even + your travell, & expenses & your "locked in through the day" that's another complaint that I heard, you can't leave no matter what, till after it's closed for the night. "YA VOL" Col. KLINK!!!!!!!!!

Am I right that this is near Owen Sound? No directions on the web site.

Thanks for clarifying where it is.
Mighty disconcerting when you go to a web site and vital info is missing.

I agree with you 100% We are a group of 4 guys that go splits on the costs. 4 nights of hotel rooms, the cost of two lots, our own portable washroom and fuel. It cost each of us appx $500 for the weekend when you add food and beer. It is too expensive for a single person to get a booth on his own and vend now.

The only parts I bought last year were a fan shourd for my wifes camaro , a set of 2" drop spindles and a few doors for 88-98 GM pickups.

I had a good year of selling parts as I sold over 30 aftermarket mufflers and a bunch of other parts I bought just before the flea market from a Car Quest parts store that was changing to a Parts Source.

Mr Haney will have to take a serious look before raising the lot prices anymore. We are seriously considering making this fall our last year. When we learned about the new rule of no campfires on vending lots that is the straw that broke the camels back.  What do you do to stay warm all day when the temperatures around 50F and there is a cold north wind blowing. Our fires were always contained in a steel container and  raised off the ground with cement bricks and we burnt 2x4 and 2x6 butt ends for a small fire to keep warm and cook a few hot dogs. All together the guys from Timmins have 6 lots in the same location for years now.

Mr Haneys meetings are also totally one sided and he has deaf ears when hearing our suggestions and complaints. The fact we are locked in until 5 pm is ridiculous. What do you do if you sell a car and the buyer wants it delivered in the area right away. Last year Hillar was thinking about sueing Haney over this and a couple of other absurd rules he has. I had a ball pumping up Hillar about Haney and it was hilarious how upset Hillar got . In the end Hillar had another drink and admitted he wouldn't do it for fear about hurting the patrons fo the flea market.

I afraid the only way Mr Haney will get the message is if more people stay away, which will be hard for a lot of people to do. Barrie is the only flea market we attend as it is the only one for Northerns to go to as I am unaware of any others within 250 miles.

Well spoken Al. When I lived in your neighbourhood we also used to go to great expense to ensure attending. But now I'm only 45 minutes away and attendance is hit and miss.

I understand the comments about Barrie. I've been there several times over the past 9 years and I have to say it's nothing like it was up to the mid 90s when I used to go there.
