So far only you and I know. With a little bit of luck it might just have the famous P on the housing. It might just have a set of 3:23 or 3:08 gears which would work just fine with a small block and a turbo 350 instead of going with 3:70 gear and a 700r4 in my wagon.
Come on guys if the wagon had a P case rear I would be keeping it. NO THERE IS NO POSI IN THE WAGON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The proper gear ratios for those cars are: 3.08 3.36 3.55 3.73 4.11 etc. They never made a 3.23 gear for the 55-64 rears.
Ya 4.56's would be a special order gear set. Even 4.11's are pretty scarce from the factory unless its a high performace car. 55-56 Chevy and Pontiacs with 3 speed overdrives I'm pretty sure had the 4.11s.
No sorry man nobody I know is hauling stuff out your way. If anyone want this car that lives a long ways away I don't mind moving on the price for us Pontiac lovers. Maybe that would help offset the cost of transport.
I actually called you on Monday about the car. I had not seen it on here so when I seen it on Kijiji I phoned. I went to see another car first and was going to give you a call after I was done. So long and short story on the other car rust bucket but he also has a 64 Malibu SS convertible. Said he needs a little while to think about it. So its a wait and see deal now.
