This month is it my pleasure to feature Joe and Susie Lizon's immaculate 1965 Acadian Beaumont L79 4 speed. The Lizon's were fortunate enough to meet the original owner of this great car and find out it's racing history. Here's some more information and great photos courtesy of Joe and Susie;
1965 L79 327/350hp, 4-speed Acadian Beaumont, Purchased 2000 in Chatham, Ont. as a basket case and Completely restored in 2004. This was a old drag car which raced at St. Thomas Drag-way.
I met the original owner in Stuie Phue in 2006 at Bothwell, said he waited 6 months for delivery, drove it for a while then turned it into a race car. It was one of 23 built in 1965.
We have had a it numerous Car Shows both in Canada & Michigan. Medowbrook Concourse De Elegance, Muscle Car Invitational Show in Chattanooga, Tenn, Feature Car at Sloan Museum, an article in the 2004 Muscle Car Enthusiast magazine, 2010 November Calendar Car for the Midland Autofest, & many more shows.
This is the first of two that we own, The second one which is being restored in Hepworth On. and should be finished this fall, came from Tofield, AB. Joe (President of Canadian Pontiac Specialty Chapter of POCI) & Susie Lizon
Very nice car! Great to see a racecar survived! Is there any interior pics? Would love to see inside. How about pictures before the resto? Thanks for anther great feature car Todd.

Love the twin snorkel air cleaner, and I especially like the detail by the cool curved cast water outlet, oil filler tube with line to carb, water bypass hose, etc.

A beautiful example of what is becoming my favorite year Beaumont. Thanks for making it the feature car so that we could learn more about it. Very nice...
PS Love the redlines!

...great car..327/350 was a screamer. I built a 'full-fendered 28 Model 'A' coach with a .060-over 283 in it - polished/ported heads, headers and 3 X 2's. Cam was an off-the GM-shelf 327/350 bought thru a buddy of mine who worked in the parts dept. at the local GM dealer. Had a great lump to it..sounded great idling or at full chat..made that little Model 'A' shake...!!
